Our mission is to help young people to set goals, surpass them, and achieve excellence through the practice of classical music.
Changing Young Lives
Through Music
Chamber Ensemble Happenings
The Chamber Ensemble musicians play at numerous special events throughout the year. Thus, these accomplished GIYO musicians have the opportunity to perform and explore the role of professional musicians while still in high school.
Chamber Ensemble is comprised of current GIYO musicians who show strong commitment and who are capable of the discipline necessary to serve as the community outreach extension of the orchestra. This ensemble is dedicated to performing with a high level of classical music. In addition to the consistent attendance at Philharmonia rehearsals, the musicians will have weekly rehearsals with the ensemble director. Chamber Ensemble musicians also have the opportunity to participate in sectionals and master classes with professional coaches. Members usually take regular private lessons and maintain leadership responsibilities within the orchestra.
